Gabe is the happiest hound we’ve seen here at SEBR for quite some time. Feeling low? Just hang out with Gabe for a while. Kids not living up to their potential? Boss making you do actual work? Does life have you feeling frazzled? Well spend some time with this little guy and you’ll be right back in the game, your boss will appreciate you, and your kids will be rich and famous!

The great thing about Gabe’s happiness is that he’s so quiet about it. He bounces on all fours when he gets excited, yet won’t annoy the neighbors or wake up the baby. It’s a Win-Win!

He loves his pack and would likely do best with other dogs in a place with a fenced in yard where he can bounce and play. His Foster-BFF is a 74-pound basset hound, and he’s not at all intimidated by bigger dogs.

When he’s not busy bouncing, Gabe likes his crate, but also likes snoozing on the couch.

Gabe was abandoned a few months ago on a dead-end road in Alabama. He was rightfully feeling a little un-trusting and timid at first, but he’s come a long way since then, and is ready for his fur-ever home.

He was heartworm positive, but has finished his treatment.

Pro tip from his foster mom: Keep your shoes in the closet and the closet doors closed, or else they will end up in the backyard. From what I understand, he is quite a collector.
