Loxie

Southeast Beagle Rescue

Adopt Me!

Loxie is an energetic little girl who is very friendly with people and other dogs, and she loves toys. She totally enjoys the backyard at her foster home but she is good on leash walks as well. Despite having had a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) in mid-August, she is quite active. In case there are some reading this who need more explanation, an FHO is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a damaged hip by removing the head and neck of the femur (the long leg bone or thighbone). We are so grateful for the shelter in Jacksonville having provided that for her! Loxie is adjusting well to her new foster home and exhibits a happy personality. She did unfortunately test positive for heartworms but is scheduled to be treated next week. Loxie has a sunny personality and is easy to fall in love with!
