Bubby

"I’d like to firstly thank you personally Natasha since the second I posted I had lost my beagle (Bubby) you were the first person to reach out & helped us look for him along with some other beagle moms of our group chat. Thankfully with the help of Sunshine Beagles my Bubby was reunited back home with us. I want to say thank you to all the beagle moms and to Natasha for being so welcoming to Bubby & I since day 1 . 🐾♥️🐾"

"Losing my beagles was very heart breaking for me because even though they are chipped, I don’t know who is out there and if someone was willing to give them back if they were taken in or even worse, have my dogs get ran over by a car.

I had a lot of anxiety at the time and it immediately occurred to text the group chat because they were always there to help. I had seen many success stories and they are the first people I contacted.

Immediately 5 people volunteered for a search party and my heart was at ease. I had faith we would find my beagles sooner rather than later with the help of the beagle community.

I’ve never experienced being part of a community that helps you with your dog wants, needs, advice, suggestions and emergencies. It was very calming knowing they had my back. We found my babies. I couldn’t have done it without their help. I am forever grateful being part of a community that isn’t just pet ownership but a family."

Rocky

🐕 Gracias, muchas gracias 💛🐕💛"

Helpful Tips

When You've Lost Your Pup

Walk and drive around the neighborhood with treats & familiar items - get as many to help with this as you can!

Distribute and post flyers in the area with your pet's name, sex, breed, area & date last seen, & your contact info.

Post on your social media, social media pages & groups for lost pets, and sites like Pawboost, 24 Pet Connect, etc immediately.

Contact the county's animal services, local animal shelters, vets, & pet supply stores.

Leave their blanket or bed outside in the area to attract them with the familiar scent.

Consider hiring a pet detective.

And of course, contact us for support!

Be Proactive

Microchip your pup and register your contact information. Check registration status:

Keep their collar and ID tag on them at all times, even when inside the house but especially when they're outside.

Consider a tracking collar or device, such as an AirTag, Fi Smart Dog Collar, Tractive GPS Dog Tracker, Whistle GO Explore, etc.

Don't leave them in your yard unsupervised, especially if your yard is not completely fenced.

Don't let them off-leash in unsecured areas, such as unfenced parks, shopping plazas, your front yard, etc.

Regularly check their collar or harness to ensure they can't wriggle out of it easily.

When You've Found a Pup

Walk and drive around the immediate area with the pup with them safely leashed and secured. The family could be out searching nearby.

Put together a flyer that leaves out one or more identifying physical traits to help confirm ownership.

Distribute and post flyers in the area with a photo, date found, & your contact info. Make sure the photo leaves out the identifying trait(s).

Post on social media, pages & groups for lost pets, and sites like Pawboost, 24 Pet Connect, etc immediately.

Contact the county's animal services, local animal shelters, vets, & pet supply stores.

Ask for proof of ownership.

And of course, contact us for support!

By taking proactive measures, and through the community's support, we can keep our pups home, healthy, and safe.
